Best universities in Australia for Social Work

Social work sits inside social sciences and psychology, and it is one of the larger fields you can choose in Australia. There are 521 registered courses in the subject, spread across 212 providers. That is a lot of choice, which cuts both ways: you will find a course near you, but you will need to check what each one actually leads to. Study levels run from diploma and associate degree through to bachelor's and bachelor honours degrees, plus graduate certificates and graduate diplomas. So you can enter early or come back later with a degree already behind you. Providers range widely. TAFE South Australia is one example. Others include Kent Institute Australia and Mercury Colleges Pty Ltd. The list also takes in Stott's Colleges, the Australian Surf Industry Training School, Front Cooking School, Melbourne Language Centre and Affectors Academy. Some of those names will look unexpected for social work, which is worth keeping in mind. Check the level and the provider together before you apply.
