How the qualification is structured

Group work and presentations are common, and you may be asked to draw on your own job or a simulated workplace. Australian providers often offer credit towards a related bachelor course for diploma graduates, which can shorten the degree. While you study in Australia on a Student visa you can work up to 48 hours per fortnight, and after finishing you may be eligible for the Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) post-study work stream. English entry is set by the provider; IELTS Academic 6.0–6.5 overall is the usual coursework standard, and the Department of Home Affairs sets a separate English threshold for the visa itself.
